The time has come to keep it simple. Basic pieces that fit and minimal accessories. I feel lucky in that my employer has given me the freedom to work from home over the next couple of weeks until the little one arrives. Keeping it simple + working from home/38 weeks of pregnancy DOES NOT EQUAL pajamas all day.
I repeat: I AM NOT WEARING PAJAMAS ALL DAY.
Quite the contrary. I keep my usual routine of flipping on NPR, showering, doing my hair and makeup. It gets me ready to work and helps me feel as good as I can possibly feel right now. Besides, what would I say to someone if they came to my door at 2 in the afternoon and I looked like hell? And, if I have to rush out of my house with no notice, I still want to look presentable. Call me shallow or whatever. But it’s important to me. Excuses be damned.
