These pants have been hanging around for some time. They’re the lesser half of a decent suit that I picked up at Banana Republic. You have seen the better half before.
Well, it was the better half. I had grown bored with the pants. They happen to be pretty baggy on me and haven’t gotten much better as I’ve become stricter with my health and exercise. I was quite close to giving them up for the swap but thought I should hang on to them for just a while longer. Today I was very glad I did.
Let’s get real. I swore when I was 13 that I would never ever peg my pants ever again. Katie Holmes was pegging her pants not long ago and I thought she was delusional. Didn’t we abandon those fashion faux pas in the 80s & 90s and didn’t we swear we’d never look back?
Eh. Here we go again.

Despite the fact that it looks like these shoes are playing “Momma had a baby and her head popped off” with my toes, they were actually quite comfortable all day.
I’m nearly ashamed to admit that these pants were so comfortable. And somehow I felt casually chic. What the hell? When did that happen?
What do you think of pegged pants? Are there any other retro (because yes, when you’re over the age of 30, your childhood styles have all of a sudden become retro) styles that you abandoned and find yourself falling back in love with?
