CLOSED Win Two Tickets to Vintage Pittsburgh!

ModStylists from ModCloth

This giveaway is closed. Thank you everyone for entering!

ModCloth and YELP! are partnering to present the upcoming Vintage Pittsburgh fashion show at the Heinz History Center on April 12th at 7 pm. Vintage Pittsburgh is a special two-day event at the History Center being held in conjunction with the “1968: The Year That Rocked America” exhibition.

The fashion show will showcase more than 100 pieces from locally and nationally recognized retailers, including ModCloth, Hey Betty, Haute Vibe, Highway Robbery, TranquiliT Reclaimed Vintage, and Lana Neumeyer.

Wanna go to the fashion show? I’m offering two tickets to a lucky reader! All you have to do is comment below with your favorite vintage… whatever! Is it a show? Your grandmother’s scarf? A way of living? Tell me!

Here’s a little inspiration to get you started. I asked vintage super stars the ModStylists for their favorite vintage things!

Chelsey: My favorite vintage item is one that I stumbled upon while flipping through channels, the 1967 motion picture Two for the Road. This delightful film starring Audrey Hepburn and Albert Finney is funny, endearing, a little sad, but mostly it takes you on an amazing ride through the 60’s: fashion, cars, and music!

Kelly: I have spent my entire life being obsessed with The Wizard of Oz. Everything from the classic 1939 Judy Garland film to the original books! Something about the fantasy meets real world aspect has always spoken to my heart. I even recently started a 1/2 sleeve tattoo of illustrations from the books so I can carry it with me forever. My lifelong love of gingham, tulle, and sparkle definitely started here.

Amy: My most adored piece of vintage jewelry is a long amber chain necklace with an amber stone at the end from “the box”. “The box” belonged to my great-grandparents’ next door neighbor who passed away and her husband opened the house of treasures to my family and me. I remember rummaging through this amazing box of costume jewels with my mom and grandma and having so much fun playing dress-up. We were stunned that they were left unwanted, but we definitely appreciate so many pieces to this day!

Jess: I have so many unique and close-to-my-heart vintage pieces passed down from my Polish grandmother, Babi. The prized possession, however, is definitely this absurd lime green polka dotted dress straight out of the 60’s. I don’t get to wear it very often and it’s not the most practical garment… but it makes me nostalgic each time I see it!

This giveaway will be open for entries through Sunday, April 7, 11:59 p.m. EST. A winner will be chosen at random. Good luck everyone!
