I’m fairly certain this dress from Megan of The Discerning Fashionista was the very first piece I signed up for in the Mailbox Mavens group. It’s no wonder. The dress is colorful and ruffly and adorable.

In other words, perfect for spring.

Just look at how lovely Megan makes this thing look. Um, hi?

I desperately wanted to just wear the dress and to wear it with my orange tights and purple shoes. But that’s not the point. So I threw on a vest and a denim suit jacket (yeah, you read DENIM in that phrase… which means there’s a full on SUIT involved there. More on that another time…).

I have lots of reasons why this picture isn’t the best. But the biggest reason is that I had more people asking me what I was doing in this tiny little alley than I ever have before. So I rattled off a few rounds and said, “Good enough. Never mind the hair.”

So, never mind the hair, dear readers. The wind was blowing every which way.

It’s going to be very hard to send this dress along. It’s got that exagerated top that I adore. But as the saying goes… parting is such sweet sorrow that I shall say good night till it be morrow. Farewell my love. I’ll see you on Between Laundry Days.
