Post with 15 notes

Have you heard? Stella Mae, chosen one, turned 1 last Friday. It’s alarming how quickly that happened.
I really wanted to make her first birthday special. Kind of to set a bar for myself. I am notorious for day dreaming about all of the things I would like to do for a party. I am also notorious for procrastinating and then not following through on all of those ideas. But this time, things would be different.
This old dog has learned a few new tricks thanks to that little nugget. She’s a great motivator. And Pinterest certainly helped inspire my ideas. From the gift wrapping to the party decoration basics, I finally felt like I had a grip on a good party setup.
You’ll excuse me if I’ve gone a little overboard with photos here. I really am so proud of myself for finally following through on a couple of simple ideas. It wasn’t so hard!

You can stop here if you’d like. :)

Popcorn from Pittsburgh Popcorn Company. {chunky chocolate caramel and chocolate peanut butter}

Cupcakes from Dozen Bake Shop. {vegan lemon lavender and margarita}

My Grandma {Stella’s Great Gramma} made this wonderful doll cake. It’s a family tradition! CJ tested the icing {on her bodice. :| }

If you’re reading this, it means you made it all of the way to the end. And I’m impressed! Thank you so much for indulging me. It’s not every day your first born turns 1!
