The first Saturday of the new year. I feel like a human La Z Boy - overstuffed and often reclined. My clothes reflect this state of being with a big shirt and leggings (ie elastic waistband).
After a much-needed run and the blisteringly hot shower that followed, I got as comfortable as possible.
My friend Kim recently taught me how to do a basic knit. So I made this scarf at moments of down time over the last couple of days. It’s more of a neck warmer because you slip it over your head rather than wrap it around. I wanted something really chunky and black. I’m so happy with the result! I found myself disappointed that I was already done and even considered pulling it off the needles and starting again. Clearly I did not.
Knitting was so relaxing. I can tell January will be chock full of some DIY projects.
But for today, it’s snuggles, some light reading (for dummies), and lots of tea.
