The Limited Suiting
The Limited sent me this suit, a cotton sateen number, to style three ways. Here is my take.

Nothing says, “Take me seriously” like a good suit. Keep the pieces together for a no-worries polished look. Add flair with a printed blouse and/or stacks of accessories.
Breaking up the suit is so much better. I went a little overboard...

SWF seeks... a slightly different look.
Remember when this dress looked slightly different? It was warm and I was getting real big. At moments it feels like yesterday and at others it feels like a million years ago.
Sometimes I wonder which is better. If something feels like it was only yesterday, does that mean you’re having so much fun that time is flying by or that everything that has happened since that special moment...

Do you ever feel like you run more efficiently when you have lots of balls in the air? I like to think that I’m better when I have fewer commitments. But it seems I am wrong. In college, my GPA correlated directly with the number of hours I worked in a given semester. The more I have going on, the more focused I become.

SWF seeks... a strange pairing.
This dress and these shoes don’t necessarily match. With respect to color, they do go. But I sort of feel as though this is like pairing a black blazer with black sweatpants. The colors go, but the styles aren’t quite right.
The pairing is strange and I don’t know if I’d do it again. But I sure enjoyed trying it out.

SWF seeks... semi-professional comfort.
Fridays are made for a comfortable look. But if you’re in an office, it’s still important to look relatively polished. Your particular office culture will determine where on the professional spectrum your look will sit. My office leans toward the semi-professional environment. SWF seeks... work horses.
This dress {and my other Ella Moss dress} were my work horses toward the end of my pregnancy. But because of their cut and flow, they are great postpartum too. They are probably the most comfortable dresses I own. Definitely worth the investment.

Today was a sick day so rather than show you work wear, I wanted to share my favorite mommy on the go/weekend wear. Catch me on a Saturday morning, and you are likely to see skinny jeans and some sort of a striped top. If I want to go fast, I wear flats. But usually I’m in booties. I like to toughen up the look with some leather cuffs and chains.
